About Us

 

AA Plus Driver Training & Transport is a family-owned operational logistics and driver training company that was established in 2011.  We are based in Minchinbury in the heart of western Sydney.  AA Plus Driver Training was founded with the passion to assist young adults in learning how to drive and for people wishing to pursue a career in the transport industry.

 

We employ drivers who work closely with several transport companies who operate across NSW, VIC, QLD, and SA.  Our vehicles are all late model Volvo prime movers towing new trailers for large retailers.

 

On average our fleet covers over 20,000kms weekly, running both single and B-double trailer combinations.  Our compliance is checked regularly by industry standards and fatigue management of our drivers is a priority.

 

Required Skills & Responsibilities

 

• Current HC or MC Licence (and copy of driving record)

• Ability to drive and operate the fleet safely (late model equipment)

• Follow instructions and use GPS maps

• Pre-departure checks

• High level of concentration and rapid reflexes

• Pick up goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them as instructed

• Responsible for basic vehicle maintenance; comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes always

• Strong sense of orientation

• Problem-solving skills (i.e. dealing with accidents and unforeseen issues)

• Organisational and time-management skills

• Patience and resistance to stress

• Flexibility with hours and a rotating roster

• Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy

• Comply with all COVID rules (i.e. regular testing to cross borders, onsite testing at warehouses)

• $37.00 per hour (paid weekly)
